Thomas Giacomo is a seasoned Web3 executive, entrepreneur, and thought leader with a deep expertise in blockchain technology and digital innovation. He currently leads the Payments Division at Teranode Group, a consortium of blockchain companies driving enterprise adoption since 2015.

Previously, Thomas was part of the executive team at BSV Blockchain, where he spearheaded the development of open-source core infrastructure and developer tools, enabling governments, central banks, and enterprises to build scalable blockchain solutions. As Head of Product at Taal, a publicly listed Web3 company, he led the product strategy for multiple flagship solutions, including a blockchain explorer, transaction processor, wallet, and token studio. Earlier in his career, as co-founder of WeCan Group, he played a pivotal role in launching over ten blockchain-powered products, establishing the company as a leader in digital trust solutions.

An award-winning entrepreneur, Thomas has founded and successfully exited three companies. He has advised governments and Fortune 500 corporations on blockchain strategy and implementation. Beyond his executive roles, he is an active investor, a university lecturer, a sought-after conference speaker, and a judge at international startup incubators.

Thomas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from HEC Montréal, as well as Master’s degrees in Entrepreneurship from ESCP Europe and in Research from Mines Paris.
