Innovators of Tomorrow: Inspiring High School Students to embrace technology

The "Innovators of Tomorrow" initiative, launched by the Blockchain Poland Association, is designed
to encourage diversity among high school students and equip them with the skills needed for success
in technology and business. The project emphasizes that technological innovation isn’t just for
programmers—it also encompasses management, entrepreneurship and communication.

Research by the Association shows that stereotypes about the tech industry limit diversity, discouraging people from non-STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) backgrounds. To counter this trend, “Innovators of Tomorrow” focuses on educating students about the opportunities in technology and helping them develop both soft and business skills.

Program Overview

The program consists of a series of lectures by experts in technology and business, divided into three key areas:

  • Technologies: Covering essential topics like Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT).
  • Soft Skills: Teaching critical abilities such as stress management, communication, and leadership.
  • Building a Startup: Offering practical knowledge on developing a business strategy and launching a startup.

In the second phase of the IoT 2024 program, students had the opportunity to develop a project using innovative technologies to solve real-world problems. The project finals took place on September 20 at Franklin Templeton’s headquarters in Poznan, where four winning teams were selected. These teams will have a unique opportunity to present their projects on the main stage at the Tech of Tomorrow conference.

Why Get Involved?

“We believe that innovation and technology should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or programming skills. Our initiative opens doors for young people from diverse backgrounds to find their place in tech and help shape a better world,” says Agata Slater, Vice President of the Blockchain Poland Association.

This initiative is also a great opportunity for local companies to get involved in nurturing young talent while building a reputation as an innovative organization investing in future generations. Thanks to the support of our partners, industry experts will lead lectures and workshops to provide top-notch guidance to participants.
